Fundraiser: Blaston Charity Walk

The Market Harborough office raised over £3,250 by doing a Charity Walk to raise funds for the Henry Sale Foundation.

Colleagues from the Market Harborough office were joined by invited clients and friends who knew Henry met to walk around Blaston, Leicestershire on a blustery afternoon in September to raise money for HSF. With a choice of routes, 5 miles or a shorter 1.5 mile stroll, all the participants enjoyed the scenery offered by the rolling hills and beautiful countryside of the Blaston Estate, by kind permission of the Murray Phillipson family. A medley of dogs also joined in the fun!

Thankfully, although rain clouds threatened the afternoon stayed dry and everyone returned to the barn in Blaston for some well-earned refreshments, kindly supplied by local caterer, Option Catering. As people tucked into soup, sausage rolls, sandwiches and cake, Darren Edwards made a speech in which he highlighted the two reasons why the walk was taking place: to raise money for a cause close to Fisher German but also part of celebrations marking 200th anniversary of Fisher German in Market Harborough.

It was a great occasion, which raised a phenomenal amount of money for the Foundation, so thank you to everyone involved in the organisation of the day.

Thank you Chris Hicks, Charity Shaw, Charlotte Gore, Matthew Trembath, Johnny Cordingley, William Green, Julia Dilworth, Angela Williams and Linda Malloney. Well done all!
