Helping people living with dementia retain a sense by getting outdoors and connecting nature themselves and their community.

Dementia Adventure has three pillars to its work: Holidays for Dementia patients, training classes and research.

The Henry Sale Foundation has supported the Free Family Carer Events programme. Dementia affects a whole family and it can be a daunting prospect for those caring for with dementia The Free Family Carer Events provide information to help people cope by providing information to help people to ‘think differently about dementia’ and to:

·         Understand it and the common symptoms

·         Continue to see the person (not the condition)

·         Receive strategies to overcome communication barriers

·         Learn how to connect with loved one using practical tips

·         Learn the benefits of contact with nature and the outdoors

·         Network with local support organisations and other family carers

·         Have the opportunity to ask individual questions and receive a copy of our helpful information pack.
